MARK YOUR CALENDAR!
Annual Alliance Membership Meeting
July 19, 2018
The Amarillo Museum of Art has had an amazing year and we are excited to kick off an impressive 2018-19 season! Next up on our calendar is the Annual Alliance Membership Meeting scheduled for Thursday, July 19th at the Amarillo Museum of Art. Come see the Georgia O’Keeffe watercolors along with several other great prints, drawings, paintings and photographs in the Works on Paper Exhibition.
This year’s program will include a special talk by, Deana Craighead, AMoA Director of Public Programming. She is going to discuss All Things Education and show members how the Alliance support is crucial for the educational programming at AMoA. You will be amazed to hear about all of the services they provide throughout our community, and all with the help of generous Alliance members like you.
Dana Walton will also update members about the Education Lab Renovation. With the gifts the Alliance has provided the Museum, and the grant funding AMoA has secured, construction is set to begin in August. We couldn’t be more excited about the renovated labs and new “MakerSpace” scheduled to open in the Spring of 2019. The "MakerSpace" gallery will allow visitors of all ages and abilities to engage, examine, respond/interact to works of art from the Museum's Permanent Collection in new ways. This unique environment advocates the purpose of the AMoA Alliance, to raise funds to support and promote the educational programs and services of the Amarillo Museum of Art.
As our primary recruiting event, we are hoping this meeting will help us increase our membership and therefore expand our support of AMoA, so tell a friend to save the date! Please consider hosting the Annual Alliance Membership Meeting by clicking on the link below. Your assistance in underwriting the meeting’s expenses will allow our fundraising efforts to be devoted entirely to the educational programming at AMoA. In order to include your name on the invitation, we request to have your gift by June 25th.
Want to also sponsor one of our fundraisers for the year? Opportunities are already available for Christmas Roundup, The Ladd Lecture Reception and the 12x12 Exhibition and Silent Auction. These are the three fundraisers the Alliance has every year, allowing us to help keep the educational programs going and growing. These sponsorships may be paid with your membership dues or we can email you an invoice prior to the event. Please see all sponsorship opportunities available by clicking below.
Last but not least, the new membership directories will be available for pick up on July 19th! Thank you so much for your support of the AMoA Alliance and the Amarillo Museum of Art.
